In 1994, Israeli forces stationed in Chaqif Castle bulldozed the only road leading to Yohmor al-Chaqif. A delegation of artists visited the village in solidarity with its people. Among them was Yohmor al-Chaqif's own artist Rafic Ali Ahmad, who delivered a welcoming address.
