The Bab al-Fattah area, rising toward al-Fand and Kaff Bou Abdallah through Ghadir Yasmine, is the playground of childhood and beautiful memories. There we learned village sports, from swimming races to mountain climbing. The river's waters were our daily baptism in summer. There we tasted joy and human nature, and grew up with courage, endurance and responsibility, children in the flower of youth working and toiling in hope of a better tomorrow.

Before defilement reached it, this area was a destination where villagers replenished their souls with positive meanings. The magnificent sweeping woodland, the scent of inula mingled with wild thyme, broom blossom and rue, and the valleys threaded by the Litani's blessings give the place an enchanting magic and an attraction difficult to describe, forming a picture of divine devotion.

We will surely return. To those passing through: by God, you will not erase our memory.
